Winner: Hair of the Dog

Hair of the Dog is the top spot for beer drinkers once again in 2026. Gearing up for Dogfest in October this year, Hair of the Dog has grown from its still-open OG spot in Ploenchit to the flagship in Phrom Phong. But the reason this brand is so beloved by beer lovers is because it takes beer seriously and, well, it’s fun. In addition to regular events like tastings and the newest brands in town, Hair of the Dog’s (very macabre) theme knows its customers and is always a good hang. 

Mikkeller Bangkok

One of Bangkok’s oldest craft beer heavyweights is still one of the city’s favorites — mainly because it doesn’t really feel like you’re even in the city. The ’50s-era Thai house on Ekkamai Soi 10 that Mikkeller calls home feels more like a craft beer embassy than a humble bar and restaurant. Serving from 30 taps and a startlingly diverse range of bottles, Mikkeller is home to people who care about beer and friends just enjoying the green, open space.

Brewski Rooftop Craft Beer Bar

Now, this is definitely not what you think of when you think of a craft beer bar. Found on the 30th floor of Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok, this is one of the rare craft beer spaces that caters to a broader crowd. Yes, you’ll find around a dozen active craft beer taps and local independent brewery selections, but this is also a venue for informal hangs, cocktails, and rooftop views all rolled into one. 

Beer Republic

Beer Republic is the go-to beer space in Ploenchit, just a stone’s throw from the BTS. With dark wood interiors and plenty of taps behind the bar, this space was very much in the vanguard in the beer scene for out-of-town brews with a downtown venue vibe. The venue has a sports bar vibe with game day specials and sports fans can catch NFL games, the top European football leagues, F1, and more. Regulars here will know that the space really kicks off when the nightly entertainment gets going. Don’t forget to try the pork knuckle. 

Two Palms Taproom

Opening last year, Two Palms Taproom is pretty easy to find due to the, you know, two palms outside, but it’s also set in a 200-year-old colonial building on Phra Sumen Road in Old Town. Two Palms Taproom does local craft brews from the likes of SpaceCraft, Brewing Project, Sunrise Brewing, Fishbridge, and Brainfill. The building itself is worth a visit, a two-story construction complete, but this is the go-to space for anyone who wants to try local craft beer. People who like Chang and Singha can stay home.
