Winner: Above Eleven

While it might seem a little more like a rooftop bar, the outside terrace area of Above Eleven is in the DNA of this venue. They’ve figured out a way to keep the open-air feel and to keep you away from the tribulations of Bangkok weather. The executive and head chef behind Above Eleven is Peruvian-born Chef Omar Frank Maruy, so this is one of the few truly great bars around town that will bring you there for the food. Combine all of this with fun events and occasional music, and you’ve got a winner.
Æther

Opening late last year, this bar has already made a big splash on the Bangkok nightlife scene. There’s just something about the way the sky — rather than the view — is a part of this venue. Perched on the 44th floor of Central Park Dusit Offices, take our advice here and check out the sundown, but if you’re more of a fan of the night, this space stays open late until 2am. Go here expecting house music on a large-format speaker system and plenty of space to enjoy the tunes.
Alfresco 64

Billed as “The World’s Highest Outdoor Whiskey Bar”, you can’t really get a better address than this. On the 64th floor, the terrace has a pretty unique design with a nautical theme (pass the afghan), and even though not all of this spot is indoors, the lacquered rosewood flooring and sunken seating give this an old school yachting atmosphere. For whiskey lovers, this might be the hottest spot in town. It’s not just the wide selection of spirits; the signature cocktails here are well worth a shot.
CALM – Grill, Garden, and Guinguette

CALM has been busy this year, with quite a few events reaching beyond their home in Phrom Phong. DJ decks inside, greenery outside—CALM Grill, Garden and Guinguette may still be somewhat unknown to visitors, but the neighborhood definitely knows this spot. The fun events like music sets and special happenings like Ricard Day have kept this spot fresh, and they’ve really matured since they opened in 2023.
Blue Parrot

A bit of sun, a bit of pool, and plenty of cocktails. The open space and cool digs make Blue Parrot a go-to spot for fun weekend events — from food markets and bingo to full live bands. While it might be tempting to take advantage of all the midday fun, don’t count this spot out for late night partying. Celebrating nine years later this year, Blue Parrot regulars are loyal, and Yenakart wouldn’t be the same without it.
