Winner: Apt 101

Mid-century modern decor meets a trendy 1970s New York City penthouse-inspired nightclub at this Bangkok hotspot. It’s not just the drinks and the tunes that make this venue the hottest club in town; they’ve got their finger on the pulse. Yes, they’ve got acts like Tom Enzy, but they’re also putting on events like their popular Breakfast Club getting this city partying early. It’s a chill lounge, serious cocktail den, and disco hall all rolled into one. If you go early for some cocktails, it’s hard to imagine this place turning into a rowdy music den. But it really, really does.

Mustache

This is one for the proper ravers, clubbers, or techno heads. There might be no better place in the city that takes its acts this seriously, working to bring in DJs and acts from around the world to really put this city’s nightlife scene on the map. Boasting genres you’ve never even heard of and a crowd that doesn’t quit, Mustache calls Decho Road home, making it Silom’s best spot for dancing — in a 700-person capacity venue and a VOID tunes system. Stay updated, because their calendar updates fast and hard every weekend. If it’s a regular weekend, buy at the door, but if someone big is in town, get your tickets early.

Sing Sing Theatre

Ash Sutton’s design masterpiece Sing Sing Theatre is one of Bangkok’s OG nightclubs. This club is a mature, wild party space that’s still bringing in acts and parties this city needs. The Chinese-chic style of umbrellas and metal lanterns stretches across three floors and four split levels, so there are plenty of quiet corners where you can chat, chill, and dance with your boo. With a mix of in-house performances and out of town talent, it’s hard to even imagine the Bangkok nightlife scene without Sing Sing.

Tictactoe

Perhaps the coolest of all the club spaces that have opened at EmSphere, Tictactoe lures you in with its sensual magenta and violet lighting — giving off a 5-star New York hotel lounge vibe without the stuffiness. Seating is simple, with public, private, and VIP zones. They’ve brought in a Void Nexus 6 speaker for the audiophiles, and they’ve also been in the news this year for jumping on the bandwagon of gimmicky parties (in a fun way). The nightlife zone of EmSphere is crowded, but this is the one to hit for a proper party.

Void Club

You’ve got clubs like Apt 101 that are all about the vibe and then you’ve got ones like Mustache that are all about the underground scene. Void Club is more about the club experience with table service, immersive lighting, and a performance-style atmosphere. It’s a club vibe that’s supposed to feel like a festival. Out-of-town acts make regular stops here, but you can also catch some of the city’s favorite local acts here, but newcomers will really enjoy the head-to-head showdowns.
