Fuchsia

Retro-futurism and a blend of Parisian underground aesthetics, Fuchsia isn’t new but really hit its stride this year and planted a flag on Silom’s Decho Road. The interior is a feast for the eyes, with iron fixtures, stained glass windows, neon-lit saloons, and plush velvet booths — there’s really no other place like it in Bangkok. The space is specifically catered to groups that want to dance, thanks to large lounge areas with ample room to cut up a rug — of course you can hit up the main dance floor, too. Deep house and techno is the usual game here, and on certain nights you can catch pole dancers and state-of-the-art projection mapping.
Decho Road, Silom, 065-057-8977. Open daily 8pm-late
Finalist: APT 101

The longest on this list, but very nearly won the category outright according to the overall panel votes. That just goes to show how explosively popular this venue has become since it opened in late 2024. The venue, which is stylized like a 70s-era penthouse and separated into three distinct rooms, wears many hats: chill lounge, serious cocktail den, and disco hall. It’s APT 101’s heavy push into the city’s music scene that earns its spot here and has already commanded a pretty solid line-up of talent, including names like DJ Tob, Wildealer, Bangkok Invaders, Afrodise (Aaron Sevilla, Juany Bravo), to its regular rotation of weekly disco, house, and hip-hop nights. If it keeps this up it will win this category next year.
APT 101, 3/F, 233 Sukhumvit Rd. (Sukhumvit 17), 02-821-5813. Open Wed-Sat 8pm-2am.
Finalist: Flamenco

This rooftop sky bar wears many hats—restaurant and lounge among them—but it leans on the party side of the equation, and does a damn good job of it with nightly Latin-inspired concerts that have people leaving their tables to dance on the open floor area. The live stage area is the beating heart of the action, where live bands work their way through Samba hits and some of the city’s best DJs rock up to play Latin beats. This is about a music-forward as a mixed-use venue can get without being a straight up live music bar. The high energy, music focus, and sweeping views of downtown Bangkok, make this one of the best nightclubs in town.
9/F, Helix, EmQuartier, 693, 695 Sukhumvit Rd., 02-003-6006. Open Thu-Sat 7pm-2am
Finalist: Sing Sing Theater

Winner of the 2024 BAD Award’s “Best Nightclub” category, Sing Sing has long been one of the city’s most well known and most consistent nightclubs — especially for the monied young folks inhabiting Thonglor and Phrom Phong lately. Inside feels like a fever dream of 1930s Shanghai and futuristic absurdity, sometimes feeling more like a theater spectacle than a standard nightlife venue. Hit up the central dance floor to get the most of the music or slink into one of the surrounding alcoves to top up your drink or start a dance party with your friends group.
45, Sukhumvit Soi 45, 063-225-1331. Open Tue-Sat 9pm-2am
